The role offered is that of an Administrative Assistant, a temporary substitute position limited to a maximum of 165 working days within a fiscal year. This position is vital for supporting supervising administrators by handling a variety of routine administrative functions. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for managing calendars, timekeeping, developing communications, assisting with budget monitoring, and organizing events. Working under general supervision, the assistant will play a crucial role in facilitating efficient administrative processes and ensuring compliance with district policies and procedures. This role is ideal for candidates who possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities, both verbal and written. Technological proficiency in office software, enterprise resource planning tools, time-keeping systems, and event management software is essential for success in this position.
Although this role is temporary and does not include benefits such as medical, dental, or vision insurance, it offers the opportunity to accrue sick leave as per state laws. Employees working over 1,000 hours in a fiscal year may qualify for enrollment in CalPERS. - High school diploma or equivalent
- three years of work experience providing administrative support
- evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds
