About the Role Our client, a renowned public health advocacy group, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Public Health Sanitation Consultant to join their team on a remote, contract basis. This role is instrumental in advising local government agencies and community organizations on best practices for sanitation and disease prevention. You will leverage your extensive expertise to develop strategic sanitation plans, assess public health risks, and provide expert guidance to improve community health outcomes. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to apply your knowledge and make a significant impact across various geographical locations without the need for on-site presence. The ideal candidate will be a thought leader in sanitation, possess exceptional analytical skills, and be passionate about advancing public health initiatives. Key Responsibilities Provide expert consultation on sanitation strategies for diverse public health settings, including urban, suburban, and rural areas. Develop comprehensive sanitation program guidelines and best practice manuals. Conduct remote assessments of existing sanitation infrastructure and identify areas for improvement. Analyze public health data to inform sanitation policy recommendations. Advise government agencies and community leaders on outbreak prevention and control measures related to sanitation. Develop and deliver training materials and webinars for public health professionals. Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and grant proposals related to sanitation initiatives. Collaborate with stakeholders to foster partnerships and implement sustainable sanitation solutions. Stay abreast of emerging public health challenges and innovations in sanitation science. Requirements Master's or Doctoral degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in public health, with a specialized focus on sanitation and hygiene programs. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful public health sanitation initiatives. Deep understanding of infectious disease transmission, water safety, waste management, and vector control. Experience working with government agencies and community-based organizations is highly desirable. Exceptional analytical, research, and report-writing skills. Excellent remote communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to work independently and manage complex projects from inception to completion. Proficiency in data analysis software and relevant public health information systems. Knowledge of policy development and advocacy in the public health sector.
