Description

  • Disseminate rate and routing information via phone, fax and email.
  • Attain and maintain ability to find schedules, rate and trucking data sufficient to efficiently deal with customer requests.
  • Be able to determine dimensional vs. actual weights, work simultaneously in English and metric systems, know aircraft floor-loading limitations, and know when to apply positional vs. volume weights.
  • Be thoroughly conversant in booking, ALERT, SPH, and LUX-reservations notification procedures relevant to bookings, as well as how to find relevant data for destination import restrictions.
  • Have a working knowledge of MSWord and Excel programs.
  • Persons in this position will represent CV with decorum, dress and demeanor reflective of high standards in a pleasant, business-like manner while discharging the duties of their position with optimum efficiency.
  • Make sales calls to freight forwarders as assigned, rendering relevant reports on feedback of and problems relevant to, the Cargolux product, with specificity of detail and follow-through in rectifying areas of customer dissatisfaction.
The Sales Executive shall additionally perform other duties as directed by management.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

  • Level in the logistic, cargo sector
  • Proven sales experience would be an asset
  • Good knowledge of the cargo market in respective area
  • Responsible and reliable, strong communication skills
  • Be passionate about air freight and eager to take over responsibilities
